Course Description

The FSPCA training program provides foundational industry training by FSPCA-trained lead instructors. It fulfills regulatory requirements for activities performed by a “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual” (PCQI), who must complete risk-based preventive controls training. The standardized curriculum ensures participants meet these requirements. Successful participants receive an official FSPCA Certificate of Completion as proof of qualification.

    Objectives

    Upon completion of this course, learner swill be able to:

    • Understand the FDA’s requirements for food safety training under the FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).
    • Gain knowledge to become a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI).
    • Learn to develop and implement a comprehensive Food Safety Plan.
    • Identify hazards and apply risk-based preventive controls.
    • Understand monitoring, corrective actions, and verification procedures for food safety.
    • Learn to validate and maintain the effectiveness of preventive controls.
    • Develop skills to manage supply-chain preventive controls effectively.
